After my article "Pursuing Postmenopausal Zest" was published on About.com I became known as the Zest Lady. I had been a Wellness Coach focusing on anti-aging issues since 1997 so the title went well with my line of work, and was proof that I practiced what I preached. After menopause I married a man twelve and a half years YOUNGER and again was a good example that life just keeps getting better if you follow a few simple rules. Herbs and therapeutic essential oils can make a world of difference. I've never had a hot flash in my life. In fact, I've never had any postmenopausal symptoms except for the fact that my periods stopped. My articles on my website have a few suggestions, but one of the things that I've seen really help my friends is wearing a Slimline aromatherapy pendant containing peppermint essential oil. This handy supply of oil really seems to calm hot flashes and is very refreshing. Eating raw food and taking my favorite supplement can help promote weight loss and/or prevent weight gain. Feel free to e-mail me with questions and hang in there! With a little encouragement any woman can become a ZEST LADY!

I don't mind sharing this and Robin, I'm hoping you may want to blog about it. I've noticed that heading into menopause reminds me a lot of 8th grade--it's almost like the hormones are gathering up for a last hurrah before they leave. I feel as emotional exiting the reproductive years as I felt entering them. I can't stand to watch those ASPCA commercials with Sarah McLaughlin and don't even get me started on Marley and Me. Has anyone else noticed that?
