I love your article. It seems like Dr.s just do not listen. Menopausal symptoms are debilitating to your life. I am 37 and just had the last ovary removed in May. The tantrums, tears, hot flashes and night sweats are right on target. We have named my other personality “Sybil”. I have just gotten a new ob/gyn and my impression was he of the “no replacement” mind. I informed him that it was not an option not to have replacement. But it seems like it is not working. I think I will make an appointment and discuss bio-identical hormone replacement. Thank you for sharing your story!

It took this many years of living to realize doctors were put here to irritate the hell out of you. My internist is “the director”. She directs me to another doctor every time I visit her with a complaint. I have decided to stay away from them as much as possible. If I break a leg, I will have a doctor set it. If I need my kidney removed, I will have a doctor remove it. In the meantime I will try to ignore the minor complaints, self medicate the intermediate problems and drink a lot when the more annoying things happen to me.

Sometimes those women docs are the worst. I had one tell me that it’s not her job to make me feel like I did before surgery. Thanks a lot – keep me healthy enough to use a walker so I can get to my Depends. I had to cancel my next appointment so I wouldn’t punch her in the face! Go get ‘er, Liz!

Hi Robin
Nice Blog. Love the look. And the “Menopause…I think I’ll pass article” was really great. Confirmed what I suspected…that my FEMALE gynecologist is just blowing me off. I’m calling immediately to get my hormone levels checked. I want to start feeling good again too!
